My Pick:

My current camera is the Sony Alpha 3000, which I purchased at the National Camera Exchange. I would highly recommend it! Great for beginners, the camera's basic features and help tutorials (which you can see at the click of a button) make it easy for even the least tech savvy. Once you get the hang of using the different settings, you can take some really great pics without breaking the bank.

How I Clean My Bedroom in Less Than 5 Minutes Daily

The key to life is to simplify it.

I have found a way to clean my room in less than five minutes each day!

Let my tell you about how I did it, and how you can too!

So to start, let me show you what I actually do everyday:

I walk into a messy room.

After I walk into my room, I pay close attention to what needs to be put away:

In the closet: Laundry needs to be done, put away empty hangers, organize shelf items.

Nightstand: Return library books, reorganize items.

Floor: Put away clothes, backpack, and chargers.

After going through and taking note of what needs to be put away, I do exactly that - I put it away!

Now I know what you're thinking: That's exactly what I do, but it takes me way longer to put my stuff away!

There are 2 problems:

1. You have TOO MUCH STUFF

2. You don't have a plan/system set in place to keep it from becoming so MESSY

The solutions:

1. Get rid of a bunch of stuff - become a minimalist

2. Follow my system for a room that stays cleaner, longer.

I have a 5 step system that has given me the ability to clean my room in less than 5 minutes daily:

1. Address the problem at hand.

It's pretty simple - you're room is messy.

2. Identify the specific parts that make up your bigger problem, this is the real key

- you can't solve a problem if you can't define it -

ask yourself, what are the main things that make up my mess?

For me it's laundry (on the floor and in my basket), stray hangers, bags, books, and chargers laying around.

3. Solve your problem. I know this is kind of obvious, but we need the reminder.

We often go for months with Chronic Messy Room Syndrome (people suffering have rooms that are significantly messy on a daily basis) without ever attempting to solve it.

We continue to either let the mess sit because we are overwhelmed or continue to spend hours cleaning up. BUT THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY PEOPLE.

Here are some specific parts of your messy room conundrum and three powerful solutions that when used together, can get rid of the problem for good:

Problem-

Laundry that is always sitting out, waiting to be washed or folded.

Solutions-

-Pair down your wardrobe, this is VITAL

-Make sure you aren't throwing clothes in the hamper when they are still clean

-Make some habits: never let clothes touch the floor, have a specific laundry day set in place, always fold clothes as soon as they are done being washed.

Problem-

Random stuff sitting out.

Solutions:

-Get rid of a bunch of your stuff - this is going to help so much, seriously.

-Make sure you put your stuff away in a place that makes sense - if there are certain items that are never where they are supposed to be, re-evaluate where you are putting them.

-Make sure that there aren't office supplies/crafts/exercise equipment/sculpture-making chisels/secret spy gear in your room - 'cuz it doesn't belong in there!

Those are the main two culprits that keep most people from having a cleaner room, so if you can solve the two problems of having laundry and random junk laying around, you will do just fine.

I have continually changed what I allow in my room and I have also made sure I really wear my clothes more before washing them. These two simple changes has kept my room super clean lately.

The main key to all of it thought is having less stuff. Seriously, I spent at least an hour a day organizing before I went minimalist. I was always cleaning, because there was so much stuff TO clean. Now I hardly have to lift a finger and everything looks great.

Lots of love,

Kat
