My Pick:

My current camera is the Sony Alpha 3000, which I purchased at the National Camera Exchange. I would highly recommend it! Great for beginners, the camera's basic features and help tutorials (which you can see at the click of a button) make it easy for even the least tech savvy. Once you get the hang of using the different settings, you can take some really great pics without breaking the bank.

Minimalist Spring Cleaning Challenge - Day 6 - Books

There is a good reason why it has taken me so long to complete day 6. I am obsessed with reading.

I don't care what genre the book is - mystery, historical fiction, nonfiction, drama, romance - give it to me and I will read it.

I don't have a lot of time to read during the school year, so my books hibernate in my miniature bookshelf for the winter.

(this picture is embarrassingly crooked and not all of the books are in there)

Once summer gets closer, things start to slow down. That's when I read all of my books.

I have about 50 books, which isn't a GINORMOUS amount, but I could probably get rid of a few. The problem is, I can't. Really, I'm not kidding you.

I'm a failure, right? Maybe not. You see, as a minimalist, you are supposed to keep what you need and what you LOVE. I LOVE my books to pieces, and read them all the time. So don't feel bad if there is one thing you have a lot of. Be it makeup, technology, art supplies- if you use it you don't have to lose it.

I am going to give my sister a series of books that I used to read around her age. The books are called the Saddle Club. I have five of them.

Maybe if I had like 200 books, this process would be easier for me. We (as a family) have a TON of books that we could get rid of, because many are never read. That unfortunately is not up to me though.

If you have a lot of books and would like to get rid of some, here's what should be tossed:

-falling apart

-never read

-don't like

-have duplicates of

*sigh*

Some things are just too precious to part from.

Lots of Love,

Kat
