My Pick:

My current camera is the Sony Alpha 3000, which I purchased at the National Camera Exchange. I would highly recommend it! Great for beginners, the camera's basic features and help tutorials (which you can see at the click of a button) make it easy for even the least tech savvy. Once you get the hang of using the different settings, you can take some really great pics without breaking the bank.

25 Days of Blogmas: Day 7 - My Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

Hi there!

So last year I decided to try a project from Martha Stewart's website. It was a very elegant christmas tree decoration made out of pipe cleaners.

Here is the tutorial for how to make it, since I honestly couldn't give you any better instructions than THE Martha Stewart.

Of course, Martha's tree was perfect. It was very straight and big and had very pretty decorations.

And of course, me being, well, me, I don't like following instructions on anything.

Instead of regular pipe cleaners, I had to be extra festive and went with the super-shiny metallic-looking pipe cleaners.

Here is mine:

I also had a limited number of pipe cleaners left in my craft supply hoard, which made it more sparse.

It's super crooked, and my ornaments look like they were made by a preschooler. When I was done with this I was really dissapointed.

My tree didn't look like Martha's at all.

But alas, after a few days of my little tree living next to me on the nightstand, I learned to love it.

I thought of Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree. There was nothing wrong with my tree at all, even if it looked hardly full enough to be a bush. I loved the imperfect, seussical way my tree twisted and bent.

I realized that it had more character than Martha Stewart's snooty perfect tree ever would. And that made me happy.

Merry Christmas, little tree. Merry Christmas.

Lots of Love,

Kat
